CEO and Chief Scientist
Breeden brings more than 20 years of experience leading financial institutions through financial modeling, allowing clients to achieve real understanding of portfolio dynamics for retail lending where those problems originated.
Prior to founding Prescient Models, LLC he co-founded Strategic Analytics in 1999, where he led the design of advanced analytic solutions including the invention of Dual-time Dynamics. Dr. Breeden has created financial models through the Mexican Peso Crisis, Asian Economic Crisis, 2001 Global Recession, Hong Kong SARS Recession, US Mortgage Crisis, and the Global Financial Crisis. These crises have provided Dr. Breeden with a rare perspective on crisis management and the analytics needs of executives for strategic decision-making. He currently serves as associate editor for the Journal of Risk Model Validation
VP Applied Analytics
The mission of the Applied Analytics Department is to research, develop, implement and promote the application of analytical techniques for improving and supporting the decision making process at Denali Alaskan as well as the greater credit union industry. Areas of particular focus are credit risk, interest rate risk and marketing. Greg is also an instructor of risk analysis courses for Statistics.com. Prior to Denali Alaskan he has had a varied career including work with EpiX Analytics as a risk analysis consultant for clients from numerous industries, sales engineer, application engineer, test engineer, and air traffic controller. Greg is a co-author of the textbook Practical Spreadsheet Risk Modeling for Management . He received a M.S. in Operations Research from Southern Methodist University as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Aviation Technology, both from Purdue University.
Chief Strategy Officer
After earning his B.S. in Marketing, Kevin Stang began his career as a marketing analyst for a large credit union. Since then, Kevin had worked in the Financial Services industry as a Strategic Consultant, Area Vice President, Senior Strategic Advisor, Vice President of Marketing, and Manager for financial software. For the large majority of his 20+ years in the industry, Kevin had served in a consulting role where his key responsibility was to develop strategies and tactics to maximize institution growth and profitability. In this time, Kevin had consulted hundreds of financial institutions, presented at countless banking conferences, and facilitated numerous management and board planning sessions.
